Jeffrey M. Weissman graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1969, where he was a General Motors Scholar. He obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching from Harvard University in 1970. After teaching high school English and physics, he received his law degree from New York University in 1974, where he was a Root-Tilden Scholar. He is a co-author of Taking Stock of the Court's Jurisdiction in a SIPA Liquidation, 41 Brooklyn Law Review 1. Mr. Weissman is a member of the New York State Bar Association and The Florida Bar. He is admitted to practice in all the trial and appellate courts of Florida, the federal District Courts of Florida, the federal Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also admitted to practice in the state courts of New York, and the federal District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He has participated in over 100 trials and evidentiary hearings (including 22 jury trials). He practices at the firm's Fort Lauderdale office.

Brian S. Dervishi graduated with high distinction from the University of Michigan, where he also received his law degree. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1982. He became a member of the Trial Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida in 1983. Since then, he has participated in many jury and non-jury trials, evidentiary hearings, and appeals in state and federal courts. In addition to practicing in all of Florida's state courts, Mr. Dervishi is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts and U.S. Bankruptcy Courts of the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He is the managing partner of the firm's Miami office.

John R. Borgo began his career teaching law. He was Assistant Professor and
Associate Professor at the University of Southern California Law School, Visiting Lecturer at Oxford University, and Visiting Associate Professor of Law at the University of Miami. He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and the Yale Law School, and studied at Oxford University. His publication, Causal Paradigms in Tort Law, 8 Journal of Legal Studies 419, has been cited in opinions of the federal Courts of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Louisiana. Mr. Borgo became a member of The Florida Bar in 1988. He has been admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Florida.

Peter A. Tappert received a degree in finance from the University of Miami, and a law degree cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a member of the Miami Law Review. Mr. Tappert was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2006. He is admitted to practice in all of Florida's state courts, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts and U.S. Bankruptcy Courts of the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida. Mr. Tappert began his career with Weissman & Dervishi, and became a shareholder in 2013.
